What was the Brief
EQUANS requested Thomson FM provide a range of bid support services for the re-tendering of the Cheshire East Council Hard FM contract in 2021. This followed previous asset collection surveying and life cycle modelling consultancy support for EQUANS and the Council twelve months earlier.
What did we do
We were responsible for providing bid management resource and for the writing of all elements of the bid submission. This included proving a bid management plan, co-ordination of bid team activities and the arrangement and holding of bid solutioning and story board sessions. The Thomson FM team created all the quality responses from initial story boards through to final versions, which were used in the eventual bid submission.
The Outcome
EQUANS were successful in being awarded a ten year contract, worth approximately £97 million to deliver facilities management, capital projects and compliance services work to Council buildings, as well as to act as their strategic partner to support Cheshire East Council’s net zero carbon targets.
