Technical support overview
Thomson FM offer a wide range of technical support ranging from desktop reviews of mechanical, electrical or building fabric related issues, through to on site testing and thermal imaging of mechanical and electrical (M&E) services to determine where faults are located for resolution.
We use the data from the surveys in order to determine the root cause of the issue. Should a client require further options on resolution, we are able to offer potential solutions or indeed work with a client’s supply chain partners to fully resolve the issues which have been identified.
Our experience includes a wide range of technical investigative activities relating to the identification, evidencing and resolution of defects, particularly in relation to Private Finance Initiatives (PFI) and Building Schools for the Future (BSF) projects where there are clearly defined contractual protocols for defect management. Additionally, we have provided technical review support in respect of major electrical infrastructure installations and completed a number of PPM specification comparisons where clients are looking to move away from their bespoke PPM tasks to a more standardised regime, generally SFG20, in order to identify the key differences and potential risks associated with adopting a new PPM standard, from both a asset reliability and cost perspective.
