The scale and scope of facilities management consultancy support rapidly expands within the global healthcare industry
The current outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic has brought into sharp focus the critical role healthcare plays in our everyday life. Indeed the UK Healthcare industry alone is estimated to be worth £70 billion to the UK economy and with an increasing ageing population, the demand for its services will continue to rise for the foreseeable future.
One of our consultants, Mark Bennett recently spoke at the FM in Healthcare Conference in Bangkok, discussing the important role engineering plays in infection prevention and control, particularly in regards to healthcare ventilation, given the need for measures to control the spread of the current COVID-19 virus.

Interim operational support to the overall performance and delivery of hard FM services at a major PFI hospital in the North West of England;

Developed planned maintenance specifications for clients, which are aligned to both Health Technical Memorandum (HTM) and SFG20;
Operational management support and asset surveying services for a FM company for their Hard FM contract for an NHS Trust;
Full bid management support on a hard FM tender for a FM company tendering for an NHS Trust hard FM opportunity, which included a review of all tender documentation, provision of written tender responses and full labour loading and commercial modelling. The bid was successful;
A review of all commercial documentation and providing expert commercial management support to an NHS Trust, in respect of contractual compliance, for a high profile PFI hospital project in Scotland;
Compliance audits for NHS Trusts at large hospitals in both the North West and North East of England, as well as in both United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Thailand, with an accompanying corrective actions tracker;
Technical bid support for a FM company tendering for a new Carbon and Energy Fund project at a large hospital in Dublin. In addition we have provided bid support for a global client for major FM healthcare tender opportunities in UAE and New Zealand;
Technical support for a FM company on their contractual obligations and quality plans for a PFI hospital in the North East of England; and
CAFM implementation project support for an NHS Trust in the North East of England, which included the development of a helpdesk/reactive/FM service request function specification/model, planned maintenance specification and overarching asset management strategy.
In addition several members of our consultancy team have previous operational experience of delivering facilities management services in hospital environments.
