What does genuine and dynamic innovation within facilities management look like?

Our Facilities Management Solutions Consultant, Mark Whittaker, visited Eindhoven last week to find out.

The global headquarters of i-Team Global in Eindhoven was the venue for a two-day conference on how they are developing innovative and market leading technological solutions for their clients, in the delivery of cleaning services. Over seventy FM professionals attended from the UK, to hear first-hand from i-Team CEO, Frank Van de Ven (pictured), how the company has developed their range of cleaning equipment and products and their drive to gather, develop and implement fresh ideas, through a company ethos of Inquire-Innovate-Inspire.

The conference included a tour of the facility and how the latest i-Team equipment and products are continually developed and refined by continually testing them in environments which replicate those of their customers; hence they have built a mock McDonalds restaurant, Starbucks coffee shop, supermarket, petrol station shop, gym, hotel room and dentists consultation room.

Dr Herman Kok, FM lecturer at Wageningen University and CEO of Shign, also spoke at the conference, stressing the need for FM to focus on the workplace “experience” and utilising informative data to drive service delivery matched to need (“pay-as-you-go”), in a much more dynamic way.

If we can help you in developing your FM strategy, aligned to innovation and industry best practice, please do get in touch.
