Thomson FM support transformative community initiative

Thomson FM help in Civic Pride Rossendale’s “Britain in Bloom” bid

This summer has seen Civic Pride Rossendale concentrating their efforts to gain RHS “Britain in Bloom” status. Civic Pride is a community based initiative which Thomson FM  have supported for a number of years, both financially and by participating in initiatives such as their tree planting and environmental improvements works. Roger Thomson, Managing Director of Thomson FM is a trustee of the charity.

As part of the “Britain in Bloom” efforts, Thomson FM donated a number of planters to Rawtenstall town centre and Roger was present outside our office at St Mary’s Chambers, to meet the RHS judges when they visited Rawtenstall.

Civic Pride Rossendale describe themselves as “a band of volunteers determined to make the town in which we live, a better place to live and work. Restoring derelict public gardens, planning, creating new ones and maintaining them for the benefit of local residents, businesses and visitors alike are the primary goals of our enthusiastic gardening team.”

We are delighted to continue to support the work of Civic Pride Rossendale and hope all their significant volunteering efforts are rewarded with RHS “Britain in Bloom” award when the outcome is announced in October.
