Rossendale Responsible Animal Rescue (RRAR) named as Thomson FM’s nominated charity for the year ahead

Each year, Thomson FM selects a charity partner to support through its fundraising and community initiatives. For 2026, we are proud to be working with Rossendale Responsible Animal Rescue (RRAR), a dedicated local organisation making a real difference to animal welfare.

Thomson FM Managing Director, Roger Thomson, commented:

“This year we have chosen RRAR for two key reasons. As a business that has been based in Rossendale for over 23 years, with many of our team living locally, it’s important to us to support a charity that directly benefits our community.

Animal welfare is also something we care deeply about. We actively encourage our team to bring their dogs to the office and we’ve created a dog-friendly environment with beds and Thomson FM branded blankets. With several members of our team having adopted rescue dogs, RRAR felt like a natural and meaningful choice.”

Throughout the year, Thomson FM will support RRAR through a range of initiatives, including donations of dog and cat food, toys, and fundraising events designed to maximise impact.

RRAR works tirelessly to raise funds for vital veterinary treatment, including neutering and vaccinations, for animals in their care. Through auctions, sponsorships, and donations, the charity ensures that every pound raised goes directly towards medical treatment. Their work has also expanded to rescuing dogs at risk of euthanasia, giving them a second chance at life.

By partnering with RRAR, Thomson FM aims to contribute to this life-saving work and help create lasting, positive change for animals in need within the local community.
